Yellow Class Visits London
Louisa Hoar, Form teacher, reports on two exciting class outings:
In the first week of term Yellow class were able to enjoy two trips to London.
Firstly we were treated to lunch in Pizza Express at the London wall,
followed by a trip to the Sherlock Holmes exhibition at the Museum of London.
There were some details about Sir Arthur Conan Doyle that we did know, but many facts and quotations from the Sherlock Holmes stories that we hadn’t known before.
A few days later, we visited the Charterhouse. We had a wonderful tour, led by Dominic, who told us the amazing history of the Charterhouse, founded as a Monastery in 1310.
After lunch in the Governor’s room, we studied some medieval artefacts with Noel, and also tried on a variety of medieval hats. We think they all suited us rather well.
We travelled by train and taxi for both trips – this was good experience for us all as well.
Thank you very much to all the supporting parents!
Two great outings!
