Gold Medal Assembly
We had a very interesting assembly where we heard from Rachel Morris, a Paralympic gold medalist! Rachel competed in her third Paralympics in a new sport for her: rowing. Having changed from hand cycling following London 2012 Rachel achieved huge success in bringing home a Gold medal which she brought in to show us.
Rachel was very inspirational. She spoke passionately about reaching goals and that no matter how hard these may seem, with grit and determination and staying steady at school with all that your education offers, you can do well if you persevere and remain positive.
Rachel works closely with the school both in mentoring and sport and is a true inspiration to the students and staff as to what can be achieved.
