The 2006 Access National Sailing Championships, held at Frensham Ponds near Farnham was an enormous success for everyone who took part. The sailors experienced a variety of weather conditions throughout the weekend, with the strong gusts which was most apparent on Saturday, though there were occasional blowy moments on the Sunday as well. Saturday started and ended an overcast, showery day, yet on Sunday, the weather broke ending the championships with blue sky and sunshine. Today was Day 1 of the 2006 Access National Championships held at Frensham Ponds, nr Farnham, Surrey. One of the pupils at the school, Dom, supported the event by taking some of the photographs, organising all of them and presenting them in the clubhouse using iPhoto application. The first day of racing was a wet and gusty day, with many of the competitors struggling to control their boats as they sailed around the course. The sailors weren't the only people struggling, as our camera shots were difficult to take in the drizzly rain. Photographs of the event have been made available online for the competitors to access when they return home on Sunday evening. Here are the photographs taken from the two day sailing event.
